[ He pauses. ]

That I'll still take the risk?

[ He makes a positive note in his throat. ]

Now is a good moment.

If I touch Eddie, he cannot handle it.

[ Oh, there might be a slight smirk at that. ]

No, he can't. I can.

There's only one other person in the City who can.

[ He's silent. That wasn't an affirmation. ]

[Desire seems more satisfied than before, now. It's other hand is offered, casually, palm up. It doesn't say anything, just smiles insufferably]

[ Yet despite the lack of affirmation, Tony is still found wanting. He reaches out with his hand, hesitating for the briefest moment before letting his hand fall to Desire's. ]

Hesitation?

You've made no secret that you are dangerous.

And you've made none that you want me.

You have a second, Tony.

[Desire raises it's chin, just slightly]

[ It doesn't even take a second. ]

[Desire's hands fall away from Tony, and it's smile get sharp]

[ He's left wanting, even from the touch. ]

[Desire just looks at him]

[ He stands, abruptly. ]

No. Normally, there's dinner, perhaps a soirée. Are those something you'd like?

[Desire can hit hard below the belt!]

I didn't think so.

[ His demeanor, however, relaxes slightly. He rubs the back of his neck. ]

I don't think you've been this uncertain on how to handle a woman since puberty.

[ He waves a hand dismissively. Then he realizes what he's doing, and he pauses, before rounding Desire, coming much closer. His confidence, or false-confidence really, is back. ]
